The build plates on this site describe how we constructed and maintained specific terrariums under our own conditions. They are cultivation notes, not professional advice. We are not horticultural consultants, and nothing here is a guarantee that the same build will behave the same way in your home.

Living plants, substrates and water chemistry vary. You are responsible for your own results and for the safety of any tools, glass or electrical lighting you use alongside these builds.

Intellectual property

The text, the cross-section illustrations, the site design and the underlying code are ours and are protected by copyright. You may quote a short extract with a visible link back to the plate you took it from. You may not republish a plate in full, resell it, or feed the collection into a training corpus without written permission.

Botanical names are used as public scientific nomenclature and no claim is made over them.

No warranty

The site is provided "as is" and "as available". We make no warranty that it will be uninterrupted, error free, or that any build described will succeed. To the fullest extent permitted by law we exclude all implied warranties and we are not liable for any loss of plants, equipment, data or profit arising from your use of the site.

Third-party links and advertising

We link to suppliers and references we consider useful, and we display third-party advertising. We do not control those destinations and we do not endorse every claim made on them. Any transaction you enter into with a third party is between you and that party.

Acceptable use

Do not attempt to gain unauthorised access to the administrative area, to scrape the site at a rate that degrades it for other readers, or to republish the collection as your own. We may block access where we see this happening.

Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms as the site develops. The current version always sits at this address, with the revision date shown at the top. If you continue to use the site after a revision, the revised terms apply.
